I am equal parts passionate piano teacher and process-improvement wizard. I spend my days dreaming up ways to accomplish more while doing less, and I thrive on figuring out how to cultivate engaging experiences for students and teachers alike! It is a joy to share my creative projects and teaching ideas at creativepianoteacher.com.
I have a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in Piano from Arkansas Tech University. I operate an entirely virtual piano studio from my home in Cincinnati, Ohio. When I’m not teaching students from around the world, performing, or brainstorming new projects, you'll probably find me enjoying a good read, planning my next travel adventure, or jogging through my historic neighborhood.
Just ask my students…. I love to collaborate on creative and original piano projects! I teach piano, pedagogy, and music theory at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee where I also get to teach a small studio of pre-college students through our community music school. I have a DMA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma, and I get excited about finding innovative ways to share music with others. I absolutely go nuts for piano ensemble music, especially when performing as part of the Chiara Piano Duo. In my spare time, you can find me hiking, crafting, brewing up some tea, and reading all the books.
